1950년대 중반 Chubby Checker가 식당에서 아르바이트를 하던중
식당 바닥에 떨어저있던 스파게티 국수를 발로 밟으면서
아이디어를 얻어 만든춤이 바로 twist 입니다.
그후 동료들 사이에서 선풍적인 인기를 끌게 되면서
바로 가수로 데뷔를 하게 되고 twist는 전세계의 젊은이들이
최고로 좋아하는 춤이 되었지요.
